Under the Law of Arms of Scotland,
whilst under his parent's household, Euan Michael Duncan the second son
of John Alexander Duncan of Sketraw may
bear his father's arms by courtesy with the temporary
cadency mark
of a crescent. On leaving the parental home or on marriage, he must
petition the Lord Lyon King of Arms for a matriculation of these arms in
his own name with a suitable difference.
The Duncan of Sketraw Tartan was
registered with the Scottish Tartans Authority in 2005 and further
